Job description:
We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst / SQL Specialist to play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure that supports corporate IT systems and business intelligence needs. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, streamline processes, and enable actionable insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, queries, views, and stored procedures to support business reporting and analytics.
Create and manage BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Analyse key performance metrics and provide insights to improve business efficiency and performance.
Develop automated data pipelines and reporting processes to reduce manual effort and enhance accuracy.
Support data governance, quality assurance, and documentation of data processes.
Work closely with IT and business teams to troubleshoot issues and optimise database performance.
Ensure compliance with data protection standards and company policies.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
Proven experience (2–4 years) as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or SQL Developer.
Strong proficiency in SQL (query optimisation, stored procedures, joins, subqueries).
Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, formulas, macros).
Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is an advantage.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical audiences.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy, structure, and governance.
