Job description:

Data isn’t just numbers on a screen — it’s the heartbeat of how we drive impact, improve lives, and achieve our strategic goals.

We’re looking for a passionate Data Management Analyst to serve as our subject matter expert in Data Quality, Business Rules, and Reference, Master, and Meta Data Management. Your key goal will be to build trust and confidence in the data we hold across the organisation.

In this role, you’ll work closely with business owners and data stewards to identify and resolve data issues at their source, implementing the right checks, controls, and standards to ensure lasting data integrity. You’ll also lead efforts to align KPIs, standardise business rules, and ensure that reference data is captured and maintained consistently across all systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of data management frameworks and governance standards.
Analyse and improve data quality by identifying inconsistencies, duplicates, and anomalies across systems.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to define and enforce data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.
Develop and maintain reference data and master data dictionaries, ensuring alignment across business units.
Establish data validation rules, audit checks, and reconciliation processes to uphold integrity and compliance.
Support the development of data lineage and metadata documentation to provide transparency in data flows.
Work with IT teams to implement data management tools and automation for quality monitoring and reporting.
Ensure that business rules and KPIs are consistently applied across all analytical and reporting platforms.
Contribute to the creation of data standards, policies, and best practices across the organisation.
Produce regular reports and dashboards on data quality metrics and governance performance.

Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
3–5 years’ experience in data management, governance, or data quality analysis.
Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks, metadata management, and master data principles (MDM).
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or Talend).
Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.
Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR) and information security principles.
Relevant certifications (e.g., DAMA, CDMP, or Data Governance & Stewardship) are advantageous.

What’s on Offer:
Competitive salary (£45,000 – £55,000) depending on experience.
Hybrid working model with 2–3 days in the office per week.
Opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the organisation’s data governance and quality strategy.
Continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Collaborative, forward-thinking environment where data drives decision-making.
