Job description:
A leading financial services organisation is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is central to driving data-driven decision-making by delivering high-quality reporting, actionable insights, and meaningful analytics across multiple regions.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to optimise business performance, enhance reporting frameworks, and strengthen the company’s overall BI capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
Gather and interpret business requirements to translate them into data models and visual insights.
Build and optimise ETL processes, ensuring efficient data flow from multiple systems and sources.
Perform data validation, quality assurance, and reconciliation to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
Collaborate with finance, operations, and product teams to support strategic planning and performance tracking.
Deliver insightful analysis that identifies opportunities, risks, and performance trends.
Automate recurring reports and streamline reporting processes through scripting or workflow optimisation.
Contribute to the data governance framework, promoting best practices in data management and documentation.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, business-focused language.
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline.
Proven experience (2–4 years) in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles.
Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools for dashboard creation and data visualisation.
Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines (SSIS, Alteryx, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables, and formula automation.
Strong understanding of data modelling, DAX, and relational databases.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous but not essential.
